Saturday Evening
March 14, 2026 — An evening of art-deco elegance, Italian cuisine, live music, and the kind of night that becomes a story.
6:00 PM · Check In
A gorgeous art-deco boutique hotel in a 10-story 1925 tower right in the heart of downtown. Moody, stylish, and intimate — not a cookie-cutter chain. Bistecca restaurant is right downstairs.

8:00 PM · Dinner
Italian steakhouse right inside Hotel Ardent. Wood-fired dishes, handmade pasta, craft cocktails. The vibe is dark, candlelit, and romantic — exactly what you want. Walk downstairs from your room. No Uber needed.
Reservation confirmed · Saturday March 14

8:30 PM · Explore
Five-minute walk east from the hotel. Dayton's historic entertainment district — brick streets, string lights, dive bars, cocktail lounges. This is where the night opens up.
The whole strip is walkable. Start at one end, work your way down. Every place has its own character.
9:00–11:30 PM · Bar Hop
Dive bar with soul. Whiskey, craft beer, and a patio that's always lively. St. Pats Dance Party confirmed for March 14 at 8 PM — perfect timing for the bar hop.
Chill neighborhood bar. Great craft beer selection, relaxed vibe. Good place to start or end the crawl.
If you want a late-night cocktail in a more upscale setting. Beautiful interior, creative drinks.
Dayton's best craft brewery. Huge taproom, local beers, industrial-chic space. 5-minute walk from the District.
11:30 PM · Wind Down
Walk back to Hotel Ardent. Grab a last drink at the hotel bar or the AC Hotel's rooftop bar (The Foundry) if you want skyline views. Then settle in for the night — you've got an early sunrise to catch.

The Night Fades
Sunday, March 15 — Sunrise at 7:38 AM

Sunday Morning
March 15, 2026 — Chase the sunrise, grab coffee, and ease into the day.
Sunrise in Dayton
7:38 AM
Be at Sunrise MetroPark by 7:20 AM to catch the golden light hitting the river before the sun fully clears the horizon.
6:30 AM · Wake Up
Set that alarm. You need to be at the park by 7:20 AM for the best light. The pre-sunrise glow (civil twilight) is often more dramatic than the sunrise itself — all deep blues and oranges before the sun fully rises.
6:45 AM · Coffee
Local Dayton roaster. Grab two to-go before heading to the park. They open at 7 AM Sunday — perfect timing.
☕
Two to go

7:20 AM · Sunrise
High bluff over the Great Miami River. Skyline views, benches, native prairie. The perfect sunrise spot. Arrive 25–30 minutes before 7:38 AM — the pre-sunrise glow is often more dramatic.
Your Weekend
Before You Go
Hotel Ardent is confirmed. You're locked in. The historic lobby sets the mood the moment you walk through the door.
Bistecca is booked. You're having dinner right downstairs from your room. Wood-fired Italian, craft cocktails, candlelit and romantic — exactly the right start to the night.
Blind Bob's has a St. Pats Dance Party on March 14 at 8 PM. Perfect timing for the bar hop — it's a full event, not just background music.
March mornings are cold. Sunday sunrise will be around 40–45°F. Bring a blanket or two for the park. Cold clear mornings make for the best sky colors at sunrise.
